Slayers Wepons

Alright, this will not be a complete list, but I am going to include some slayer weapons here.

Holy weapons:
God is perfect and darkness cannot abide in His presence. Of the beings mentioned on this site, He is one of the few that is real. Holy weapons and objects are made holy through His power. Obviously the bible, the church, holy water, and crucifixes are holy and will repel unholy things

Swords:
A sword, preferably blessed or inlaid with silver or both, is probably the most versatile and effective slaying weapon. A double edged sword is often mentioned in the Bible and scripture is often referred to as being as dangerous to evil as a double edged sword. These swords are also in the shape of a crucifix when turned point down.
Besides double edged swords, Japanese Masamune katana are considered holy swords. Do not get this confused with Muramasa, which were evil swords. Due to their enormous destructive power, Muramasa katana will kill legendary creatures, but Masamune katana will work better. The sword of Saint George, Excalibur, the sword of Roland, and several other very powerful holy swords exist in legend.

Silver:
Some creatures are not unholy. Therefore, they are not effected by unholy weapons. However, almost all of them have some weakness. Silver is a weakness for both vampires and werewolves. It is sometimes considered a holy metal. Quicksilver is an even more potent form of silver. Silver bullets and arrows a great way to kill a werewolf. Vampires are less vulnerable to silver, but can still be killed by it.

Wild plants and minerals:
Wild garlic will keep back vampires. Wolfsbane will drive off werewolves. These plants only effect the beings mentioned and they are not interchangeable. There are other wild plants that are considered to have holy properties, and I will insert them as I continue my research. Salt is often considered a good or holy mineral.

Holy objects:
As I mentioned above, crosses and holy water will repel evil and unholy creatures. The boundary of a Church is a safe zone from unholy creatures as they cannot set foot on sacred ground. Statues of the saints are also considered holy.

Assorted weapons:
The best way to kill a vampire is driving a three foot wooden stake through its heart. This is easiest when it is sleeping in its coffin. Discovered by the Dr. Abraham van Helsing, the first and greatest slayer, this is the most powerful method of killing vampires. Fire is a good way to kill most evil creatures. Spears and harpoons are excellent weapons as long as they are holy or have a silver head. They can be thrown and keep unholy creatures at a distance. Axes are a great weapon when you need a heavy blow. They are good for beheading, which will kill most creatures. Knives that are blessed or contain silver will work, but they are dangerous as they require you to get close to your enemy. Bows, rifles, and pistols work on many creatures depending on your ammunition and the time period. For example, a werewolf living in a Transylvanian town that still has horses, will not be affected by an AK-47 even if it has silver bullets because the gun is too far ahead of its time period. However, if it exists within about 30 years of the AK-47s creation, it may be affected. Why you ask? Well, it would just look ridiculous to have the hero riding a horse wearing a suit and powdered wig while firing a grenade launcher at a vampire.

Things that do not work:
Pentagrams, goat's blood, and evil incantations do not work. Using unholy practices to kill unholy beings does not work. This should be obvious. Conventional weapons, like machine guns and RPGs do not work either. In most cases the beings cannot advance past the age they were created in, thus werewolves can't use M-16's. For some reason, they seem unaffected by weapons created after that period. The exception is zombies. They are effected by any weapon from any period.
